In your court I want to submit my homemade cake recipe "Monastic hut." This recipe is over 30 years old. I cooked it for my daughter's birthday. Now the daughter is preparing for her son's birthday. None of the guests leave earlier waiting for the dessert. Cake "Monastic hut" is a pleasure!



  • egg - 3 pieces;
  • sugar - 1 cup;
  • sour cream - 1 glass;
  • margarine - 250 grams;
  • flour - 4 glasses;
  • soda - 0.5 tablespoon;
  • vinegar.


  • prunes - 200 grams;
  • walnuts - 200 grams;
  • poppy - 100 grams.


  • sour cream - 0.7-1 liter;
  • sugar - 1 cup.

Cake "Monastic hut." Step by step recipe

  1. Separate the yolks from the proteins (cool the proteins in the refrigerator) and grind with sugar.
  2. Melt margarine and cool.
  3. Mix the yolks, margarine, sour cream.
  4. Add soda, extinguished with vinegar, flour.
  5. Knead the dough.
  6. Divide into 28 balls.
  7. Put in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  8. We take out of the refrigerator and roll each ball 20-25 centimeters long and 3-4 centimeters wide.
  9. Preparing the filling.
  10. Cut nuts with a knife.
  11. Soak the prunes in warm water for 15-20 minutes, then strain and cut into small strips.
  12. Pour poppy seeds with boiling water and let it brew for 20-25 minutes.
  13. Drain water with poppy seeds on cheesecloth, which must be put on a colander, and let stand until the poppy has completely dried. Dry poppy mixed with sugar.
  14. On the rolled dough we put in turn the prepared filling. You will get 9 logs with prunes, 9 logs with nuts, 10 logs with poppy seeds.
  15. We turn them into tubes and bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 15 minutes.
  16. We make the cream: put sour cream on gauze, which is covered with a colander, and leave it for 5-6 hours in a cool place so that the excess serum leaves.
  17. Beat the prepared sour cream with sugar.
  18. Take a large dish, grease the bottom with cream.
  19. We begin to build a hut: put the first 7 logs with different fillings and grease with sour cream.
  20. Then 6 logs - sour cream, and so on until the logs end.
  21. The whole cake should be covered with sour cream.
  22. Beat the squirrels, decorate them on the side of the hut.
  23. Sprinkle with grated chocolate on top.

The cake should be infused for 24 hours to soak well. We serve to the table, cutting off each guest a piece! Everyone will be delighted! The taste is indescribable. Take my word for it, you can’t find such a recipe on the Internet. He is exclusive!
