Everyone is used to the fact that Easter baking should be in the form of a tall loaf, but I suggest moving away from stereotypes and preparing an Easter butter loaf.   • eggs - 3 pieces;
  • butter - 100 grams;
  • granulated sugar - 180 grams;
  • dry yeast - 10 grams;
  • vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons;
  • flour - 600 grams;
  • vanilla sugar — 15 grams;
  • sour cream - 100 milliliters;
  • kefir - 200 milliliters
  • salt to taste;
  • light raisins - 150 grams;
  • egg yolk - 1 piece;
  • sesame seeds - for sprinkling.

Easter Butter Loaf. Step by step recipe

  1. Preheat a little kefir: up to about 40 degrees. This can be done in the microwave. See do not overheat, otherwise it will exfoliate.
  2. In kefir add a tablespoon of sugar, dried yeast and a couple of tablespoons of flour.
  3. Cover the dough of Easter cake and send to a warm place without drafts.
  4. Meanwhile, in a deep bowl, beat the eggs and sugar with a mixer: until a lush mass of light yellow is formed.
  5. We also add sour cream, previously melted butter.
  6. Tip. After the oil is melted, it must be cooled to room temperature. Because if you mix the hot ingredients with the eggs, they will boil.
  7. When our dough for the easter loaf is suitable, add the butter and egg mass and mix gently.
  8. Separately sift flour through a sieve.
  9. Tip. Flour can be sifted several times: this will not only eliminate unnecessary particles, but also enrich it with air. From this baking will be more magnificent and airy.
  10. Gradually introduce sifted flour to the liquid ingredients.
  11. Tip. You can’t add all the flour: we’ll leave half a glass to sprinkle the board, on which we will knead the dough for the loaf.
  12. A lump of dough should be well kneaded on the board: until the dough absorbs all the flour.
  13. Then pour the board with several tablespoons of vegetable oil and continue to knead.
  14. In the dough for butter cake, add light raisins.
  15. Tip. Before adding dried fruits to the dough, they must be soaked for an hour in cold water, then drain the water and rinse them in hot water. After that, raisins, or any other dried fruits, need to be dried - and only after that use for further cooking.
  16. So, knead the dough with raisins so that the berries are evenly distributed throughout the dough for the loaf.
  17. Put the dough in a greased bowl, cover and send to a warm place for an hour and a half.
  18. When the dough grows, divide it into three equal parts and roll each part into bundles. All harnesses must be the same size.
  19. The edges of the harnesses are fixed and braided "braid".
  20. In a round shape, with a diameter of 24-26 centimeters, we lay out a wicker "braid", forming a circle.
  21. Tip. We cover the bottom and sides of the form with parchment before putting the dough there.
  22. We don’t throw away the scraps and remains of the dough, but we tie a knot and put it in the middle of our ringlet.
  23. We leave our Easter bread so that it rises again, then grease it with an egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  24. We send a butter loaf to bake for 50 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees Celsius, then after 10 minutes you need to cover the top of the baking foil and lower the temperature to 160 degrees - and continue to bake until cooked.
  25. Tip. The readiness of the baked product can be checked with a wooden stick or a toothpick. If the skewer remains clean when pierced, then the pie is ready. If the dough sticks: then baking still needs to sit in the oven.
  26. The finished loaf should be given time to cool, removed from the mold: and only then can it be cut.
