Mom's buns

When I was little, my mother very often baked homemade buns. I remember the flavor of these buns now. Now, according to an old family recipe, I bake my mother’s buns with my daughter. They are so delicious and delicate that they want to eat one by one. Cook and you will see for yourself! Today, along with “Very tasty,” I want to share a recipe for my mom’s buns.

Ingredients:

  • a mixture of milk with water - 200 milliliters;
  • flour - 500 grams;
  • one teaspoon of dried yeast;
  • sugar - 4 tablespoons;
  • egg;
  • vegetable oil - 100 milliliters;
  • vanilla sugar;
  • salt.

Mom's buns. Step by step recipe

  1. To make buns, we need a mixture of milk and water. I take half the water and half the milk.
  2. Beat the egg with sugar and add a pinch of salt.
  3. Now we start kneading the dough. We combine milk, water, vegetable oil, beaten egg, yeast and vanilla sugar. Mix all this well and let it stand for about 10 minutes. I take one bag of vanilla sugar. If you take not sugar, but pure vanillin, then you can take less.
  4. After ten minutes, add the flour and knead the dough. The dough for buns should be of medium density. My flour for kneading takes less than a prescription. I add flour in small portions.
  5. We leave the dough to approach in a warm place for one hour. While the dough was coming up, I periodically crushed it a little.
  6. When the dough comes up, divide it into equal parts. I do this, roll the sausage out of the dough, and then cut into approximately equal pieces.
  7. We roll out each ball with a rolling pin, grease it with a silicone brush with vegetable oil and sprinkle with sugar a little. Twist the dough in the shape of a roll.
  8. Cover the baking tray with parchment.
  9. Put the finished buns on a baking sheet and leave for 20 minutes.
  10. Bake in a preheated oven to 190 degrees for 30 minutes.
  11. Ready buns can be sprinkled with powdered sugar.

Mom’s buns are exactly the same as in the photo. Still sometimes, before baking, I grease the top of the buns with beaten chicken yolk.
