Open cherry pie

Once I came across a video about making a pie. After looking at it, I decided in the evenings to please my family with delicious mint tea and a piece of tender cherry pie. I want to tell you that the pie turned out great. Shortcrust pastry simply melted in my mouth, and the open cherry pie flew apart instantly. Today, along with “Very tasty,” I want to share a recipe for making such a tasty thing.

Ingredients:

  • egg - 2 pieces;
  • a glass of sugar;
  • butter - 200 grams;
  • a teaspoon of baking powder;
  • two glasses of flour;
  • cherries for toppings.

  1. Beat eggs with sugar, this can be done with a whisk or using a mixer. It seemed to me that there would be a lot of sugar, and I added an incomplete glass.
  2. Then add the oil to the egg mixture. Yes, butter can be replaced with margarine.
  3. Now pour the baking powder.
  4. Flour should be taken sifted. And add the flour in parts. Knead the dough.
  5. We divide the dough into two parts, one part more and one less.
  6. Most of the dough is put in a baking dish, oiled, and well distributed over the bottom of the mold. Cover with cling film and send to the refrigerator for 30 minutes. And the dough that remains is also placed in the refrigerator.
  7. Thinly roll out a small portion of the cooled dough and cut it into small squares.
  8. We take out the cake from the refrigerator and put the filling. Cherry can be taken both fresh and frozen. On top of the filling we put our squares from the dough, this can be done, for example, in a checkerboard pattern.
  9. Bake at a temperature of 180 degrees 40 minutes.

Shortcake pastry pie really liked my family. They were just thrilled. Once, having decided to experiment, I baked such a pie with raspberry jam, it was also delicious.
