One of my acquaintances bakes wonderful pies and biscuit cakes, she recently shared with me - a pie with poppy seeds and butter cream. I tried to find the recipe for this pie for a long time, because its taste is simply gorgeous. Today I would like to share with you how to make poppy seed cake with butter cream.


  • butter - 150 grams;
  • sugar - 150 grams;
  • eggs - 3 pieces;
  • poppy - 200 grams;
  • flour - 150-180 grams;
  • baking powder - 1 teaspoon.

For cream:

  • sour cream - 500 milliliters;
  • sugar - 150 grams;
  • vanillin - 1⁄4 teaspoon;
  • gelatin - 15 grams.

  1. Pour sugar into a plate and add butter. We grind everything.
  2. Add the eggs and mix.
  3. Pour poppy into the mixture and mix everything again.
  4. Then add the flour and baking powder.
  5. Knead the dough.
  6. Cover the form with parchment paper, spread the dough and send it to the oven preheated to 180 degrees for half an hour.
  7. In the meantime, prepare the cream.
  8. We take a plate and pour sugar there, add sour cream and vanillin. We mix everything.
  9. Soak gelatin in cold water. Then we heat the water until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  10. Then add to the cream and mix.
  11. We spread the cream on the finished cake and put our cake in the refrigerator for at least 5 hours.
