Ingredients:

  • minced meat (I have chicken and beef) - 600 grams;
  • round-grain rice - 150 grams;
  • onions - 1 piece;
  • salt - 0.5 teaspoon;
  • ground black pepper;
  • cabbage - 1 head of cabbage.

To fill:

  • carrots - 1 piece;
  • onions - 1 piece;
  • tomato paste - 2 tablespoons;
  • flour - 1 teaspoon;
  • salt - 1 teaspoon;
  • ground black pepper to taste;
  • sugar - 2-3 teaspoons.

Delicious cabbage rolls from young cabbage. Step by step recipe

  1. To prepare delicious cabbage rolls, we wash the rice (according to the recipe) several times with cold water.
  2. For boiling rice, we need a saucepan.
  3. The washed rice is transferred to the prepared pan, pour boiling water, add salt.
  4. We send the pan of rice to the stove and boil it for about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Then remove the rice from the stove, cover with a lid and let it brew for a few minutes.
  6. Then we transfer to a sieve so that excess water from the glass of rice.
  7. Tip: in order to cook very tasty and tender cabbage rolls, the rice should turn out friable.
  8. For the preparation of cabbage rolls, we need one head of young cabbage.
  9. For cabbage, wash my cabbage and make small cuts around the stump.
  10. We send the pot of water to the stove and bring the water to a boil.
  11. The prepared cabbage is lowered into the boiling water with a cross-stitch and let the young cabbage boil for several minutes (it all depends on how young the cabbage is).
  12. Then we turn the cabbage in the water, string one fork on the stump, and the other - we separate the leaves from the head.
  13. Boil the leaves of young cabbage for another minute and remove them from the water with the help of tongs.
  14. Two onions are peeled, washed and finely chopped with a knife.
  15. Fry chopped onion in vegetable oil until golden.
  16. In home-made minced meat (I used chicken and beef), add salt to taste, boiled rice, black ground pepper, part of the fried onion, pour in a little cold boiled water, and mix well. Stuffing for stuffed cabbage is ready.
  17. Tip: water must be added to the filling, because rice in the middle of cabbage rolls will still be cooked and expanded. And instead of water, you can use tomato juice.
  18. Now let's prepare the filling for delicious cabbage rolls.
  19. We clean one fresh carrot, wash it and rub it on a coarse grater.
  20. Grated carrots are sent to the pan to the remaining fried onion, add one teaspoon of flour, tomato paste, salt, sugar, black pepper, pour hot water, and mix well. Stuffing for stuffed cabbage boil a few more minutes.
  21. At the base of the boiled leaves for cabbage rolls, cut off the seal.
  22. Put the prepared stuffing with minced chicken on the tight edge of the cabbage leaf and wrap it.
