Delicious homemade roast

A traditional hearty dish, which is in the arsenal of every housewife: it’s easy to cook, and you can feed the whole family — delicious home-cooked roast. Potatoes with meat, stewed with onions and carrots - the most popular folk dish, it was prepared by our grandmothers. Tender and juicy meat, incredible aroma of garlic, delicious vegetables - a chic dinner for the whole family. And if you cook the roast at home in pots, then the guests will not be ashamed to serve: the potatoes are soaked in meat juice, and an incredible, tantalizing smell is carried around the house.

Ingredients:

• 350 grams of pork;
• 8 potato tubers;
• 2 onions;
• 1 carrot;
• tomato or ketchup - 1 tablespoon;
• 3 cloves of garlic;
• vegetable oil for frying meat and vegetables;
• some water;
• salt, black pepper - to taste;
• Bay leaf.

Delicious homemade roast. Step by step recipe

1. Cut fresh pork meat into medium slices, fry in a pan in a small amount of vegetable oil.
2. 2 heads of onions, cut into large cubes, add to the pan to the meat.
3. Cut the carrots into strips, send them to the pan. All together, fry over low heat, stirring occasionally. At the end, add tomato or ketchup, mix.
4. When everything is fried, transfer to a pan, pour a little water (to cover the products). Salt and pepper to taste, put a couple of leaves of parsley.
5. Stew on low heat, under the lid, almost until the meat is ready.
6. Arbitrary large pieces (we don’t finely cut the products into fries) we cut the potatoes and put them into the meat.
7. Add water or broth, add salt if necessary. Close the lid, simmer until the potatoes are ready.
8. Grind the garlic with a knife (according to the recipe). If you like it sharper, you can increase the amount of garlic.
9. 5 minutes before the end of cooking, we send garlic to the pan.

Sprinkle the finished dish with herbs, spread in a deep bowl, along with the sauce (so that you can scoop it with a spoon).
