Ingredients:

  • potatoes - 800 grams;
  • butter - 1 tablespoon;
  • egg - 1 piece;
  • garlic - 1 clove (optional);
  • fat cream - 200 milliliters;
  • Edam cheese - 50 grams;
  • nutmeg - 1 piece;
  • salt and pepper - to taste;
  • greens (optional).

  1. Wash the potatoes and peel them.
  2. Rub the nutmeg on a fine grater.
  3. Rub the cheese on a coarse grater. By the way, instead of Edam, you can take either Gruyere cheese or Emmental. Do not save on cheese: the further taste of the dish depends on this product.
  4. Drive the egg into the bowl and beat it lightly.
  5. We add fat cream and grated nutmeg here.
  6. Mix and add salt and pepper. If desired, you can add any other spices.
  7. Mix everything thoroughly again.
  8. The form in which we will bake French potatoes, rub with crushed garlic.
  9. Top grease with butter.
  10. The peeled raw potatoes should be grated or cut into thin circles. Personally, I rub on a cabbage shredder. But, be careful and careful not to get hurt!
  11. Grated potatoes are evenly distributed in shape.
  12. Pour cream with egg and spices over raw potatoes.

  3. After greasing the mold, put the meat evenly in shape.
  4. Then lay out a layer of onions and a layer of potatoes.
  5. Top with cream and sprinkle with cheese.

Instead of cream with egg, you can use mayonnaise. It will be delicious, but not like with cream. With mayonnaise, you can either simply coat the top of the dish, or cook the same way as cream: with eggs and spices.
