Canned Tomatoes with Apples

There are a lot of recipes for canned tomatoes on the Internet, but such juicy, sweet and sour tomatoes are obtained only according to this recipe. Apples add sourness to the tomatoes, and the brine is very tasty. In winter, you will thank yourself for not being too lazy and spending 20 minutes in the autumn to enjoy a great juicy snack in the cold.

Ingredients:

  • tomatoes - 2 kilograms per 3-liter jar;
  • green apples - 2-3 pieces;
  • salt - 4 teaspoons;
  • sugar - 6 tablespoons;
  • ground cinnamon - a pinch;
  • dill - 20 grams;
  • parsley - 20 grams;
  • apple cider vinegar - 12 tablespoons;
  • allspice peas;
  • bay leaf - 1 leaf.

Cans can be used in different capacities, but three-liter ones are best suited.

Canned tomatoes with apples. Step by step recipe

    1. We carefully wash the tomatoes and apples, cut out the core of apples. Apples are best bought green, sour varieties, such as Granny. Tomatoes are suitable any, but not very large, their from the garden, of course, in priority.
    2. On the bottom of a three-liter jar, lay out parsley branches, dill and bay leaf (if more than one leaf is possible, but the main thing is not to overdo it, the bay leaf can kill all the taste and aroma of tomato and apples). Spread the tomatoes on top, alternating with apples cut into rings.
    3. We put a pot of water on the fire. We take water from the calculation to cover all the tomatoes and completely fill the entire jar. When the water boils, immediately fill it with our tomatoes and apples, wait about 10 minutes and pour the water back into the saucepan.
    4. We prepare the brine: add sugar, salt, cinnamon, pepper, vinegar to the same water, mix, bring to a boil and pour back into the jar. The bank needs to be rolled up, turned upside down and wrapped in warm clothes. You can use it after a few weeks.
