Ingredients:

  • hard cheese - 100 grams;
  • egg - 1 piece;
  • dill - 2 tablespoons;
  • breading flour - 3 tablespoons;
  • ground black pepper;
  • salt to taste;
  • boiled potatoes (peeled) - 500 grams;
  • sour cream for serving.

Fast potato cakes. Step by step recipe

  1. If you want to cook fast and tasty potato cakes for your family for breakfast, then you can boil the potatoes in a peel in the evening: and then cooking breakfast will take you a few minutes.
  2. Rubbed boiled potatoes on a coarse grater.
  3. We take a container (I have a deep bowl), in which we will combine all the ingredients for the preparation of incredibly tasty and quick potato cakes.
  4. Grated potatoes are transferred to a bowl.
  5. Finely chop the fresh dill and add to the grated potatoes.
  6. Shake one chicken egg and also send in a bowl with potatoes.
  7. Hard cheese (I used Cheddar and Mozzarella) is rubbed on a medium grater and also sent to potatoes. Any cheese can be used for tortillas.
  8. Black pepper and salt are added to taste: if you have brackish cheese, then you can not add salt at all.
  9. The whole mass for the cakes is well and thoroughly mixed.
  10. We divide the finished potato mass into three parts.
  11. From each potato part we form a ball. In order to make it easier and easier to do this and the potato does not stick to your hands, slightly moisten your hands with cold water.
  12. Potato balls are breaded tightly with flour and give them the shape of tortillas (flour must be breaded well so that the tortillas do not break during frying).
  13. Pour a little vegetable oil into the pan and put it on the stove.
  14. We shift the tortilla into the heated oil with a wide spatula.
  15. Fry a tortilla with a filling under a closed lid on both sides (approximately 2.5 minutes).
  16. Remove the finished cake from the pan and transfer to a paper towel. We also continue to cook the two remaining cakes.

In order to make it easier to turn the cakes in the pan, and they did not fall apart, you can make not three, but four pieces. It is very tasty to serve hot cakes with sour cream on the table - you will lick your fingers!
