Ingredients:

  • mayonnaise - 150 grams;
  • boiled eggs - 3 pieces;
  • boiled carrots - 1 piece;
  • boiled beets - 1 medium piece;
  • bunch of green onions.

Herring under a new fur coat. Step by step recipe

  1. I suggest pickling the onions first. While he is standing, we will deal with other vegetables. We pickle it so that its taste is gentle. This marinade is suitable not only to use onions in salads, but also for barbecue.
  2. For one serving of marinade, 4 onions are needed (you will then take only one onion from this portion in the salad). We also need 70 milliliters of vinegar, 200 milliliters of water, 3 tablespoons of sugar (without a hill) and half a tablespoon of salt.
  3. Now cut the whole onion into half rings and send it to a deep bowl. In the meantime, pour water into a saucepan, pour it out, everything except vinegar and boil until completely dissolved. When removed from the fire - pour vinegar. Pour boiling water over our onions. Cover and leave for one and a half to two hours.
  4. Then we do not drain the water, we take as much as we need for the salad, transfer the rest with the marinade to a jar and put in the refrigerator. There he can stand for a couple of days until you use it. Believe me: the onion will turn out to be very tender and very tasty. The recipe is checked more than once.
  5. We need to boil all the vegetables for the salad. Therefore, if you do not have ready-made ones: potatoes, beets and carrots - you need to put the boil.
  6. We have vegetables in the cooking process. Let's take a herring. It must be cleaned, remove all bones. Cut into small cubes and distribute on the dish with the lower layer. The dish is better to take flat and wide in diameter.
  7. To clean herring, follow the rules. Be sure to skin the fish. To do this, make an incision along the back and pull off the skin.
  8. For proper bone removal, it is necessary to hold a knife along the ridge and separate it from the meat. In order to remove very small bones, you can use tweezers. Even if it seems to you that the small bones are gone, they are certainly in the meat. Therefore, carefully feel the fillet for small seeds.   9. Cut pickled onions into small cubes and spread on a herring.

  16. Now take the beets, rub on a fine grater. After beetroot, there are immediately three previously deposited proteins: the beet juice remaining on the grater will stain the proteins in pale purple.
