Simple dish
The familiar “Olivier” and “Herring under a fur coat” are already tired of everyone, but nevertheless on New Year’s you can’t do without them. They have long been a symbol of the New Year's table. The “I love to cook" team offers you an original herring recipe under a fur coat. The salad is very tasty and tender. Guests will be delighted!
Ingredients:
- salted herring - 2 pieces;
- beets - 2 pieces;
- potatoes - 2 pieces;
- egg - 4 pieces;
- carrots - 2 pieces;
- mayonnaise - 6-7 tablespoons;
- water is a glass;
- gelatin - 30 grams;
- ground black pepper - to taste;
- greens - for decoration.
Jellied "Herring under a fur coat". Step by step recipe
- Boil vegetables until cooked, peel, grate.
- Add gelatin to room temperature water, mix thoroughly and leave to swell for 20 minutes. Then heat on a stove until it dissolves.
- Next, mix gelatin and mayonnaise, adding a pinch of black pepper.
- We take a cookie cutter, preferably of a beautiful and embossed shape (then the salad will turn out to be very beautiful), grease it with mayonnaise and gelatin and begin to lay out the layers.
- The first layer is beets. We fill the bottom of the form with beets and grease liberally with the resulting mass of gelatin and mayonnaise.
- Next is a layer of carrots. We spread the carrots on top of the beets and grease with filling.
- Lay eggs on top. Again, grease with “gelatin” mayonnaise.
- Take the potatoes. We put on top of the eggs and grease everything abundantly with mayonnaise and gelatin.
- Then comes a layer of herring. To do this, thoroughly rinse herring, peel and cut into long, thin slices. Put on top of all layers and finely lubricate again with filling.
- We close the lid or cling film and put in the refrigerator for 50 minutes.
- We take out the filler, turning the mold on the dish.
The dish is ready! You can decorate it with any greens - chopped green onions, parsley, dill. "I love to cook" wishes you a pleasant appetite! And be sure to try making herring cake and herring snack cake.
