Kutaby, kystyby, tortillas or cheburek, this dish has a lot of names and many cooking options. Absolutely any filling is used in kutaby, it can be vegetable or meat, cheese or even fruit. I have experimented with fillings many times and today I want to offer you one of the best. A real perfect combination of unleavened dough and moderately spicy juicy toppings. I think you will like it too.

Ingredients:

for the test:

  • flour - 4.5 cups;
  • water - 2 glasses;
  • sunflower oil - 1 tablespoon;
  • salt - 1 teaspoon.

For filling:

  • cottage cheese - 400 grams;
  • green onions;
  • garlic - 2 cloves;
  • salt, pepper, dill - to taste;
  • an egg - 1 piece.

Lightly spicy and very tasty kutaba with cheese filling. Step by step recipe

  1. Pour 2 cups of warm water, add vegetable oil and salt, mix, gradually introducing flour, knead the dough. Perhaps the flour will need a little more or less, be aware that the dough should turn out pretty steep.
  2. Beat cottage cheese with a blender or rub well, add garlic, salt, pepper and dill squeezed through the garlic, beat the egg and mix well. You can add a few drops of lemon juice.
  3. Divide the dough into small pieces, then roll each piece into a thin cake. With a thin layer, spread the filling on one half of the tortilla, and cover with the other half, and carefully glue the edges.
  4. Preheat the pan, and fry the resulting cakes in a dry pan. Grease still cakes with butter, laying one on one.
