Not so long ago, my best friend treated me to "delicious sauerkraut." I barely asked her for a recipe for this wonderful dish. Now I will share it with you, my dear reader, because “Very Delicious” is always able to surprise you with the most interesting recipes. The old sauerkraut recipe is one of the best cabbage recipes I've tried.

Ingredients:

  • white cabbage - 3 kilograms;
  • carrots - 5 pieces;
  • Semerink apples - 3 kilograms;
  • salt - 3 tablespoons;
  • Bay leaf.

  1. You need to chop the cabbage, and grate our apples and a small medium carrot into a separate cup.
  2. The resulting composition must be mixed well, add salt, and then crush again until cabbage juice appears.
  3. Next, you need to prepare the cans and fill them with our almost ready cabbage, add a couple of parsley. Let the cabbage roam for 2-3 days at room temperature - 20-25 °.
  4.  Cabbage will turn out even tastier if you pierce the cabbage several times a day with a wooden stick. This is necessary so that all the fermentation gas leaves the cabbage.
  5. After the fermentation process is completed, place the jars of cabbage in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.
