Pickled beets

As for me, pickled beets are a very useful harvest for the winter. There are many options for preserving beets, in different ways, pieces and for different uses. I will share with you a universal recipe for delicious pickled beets.

Ingredients:

on a half liter jar:

  • Beets - 350 grams;
  • Vinegar 5 percent - 6 teaspoons;

For marinade:

  • Water - 1 liter;
  • Sugar - 0.5 cups;
  • Salt - 0.5 teaspoon;
  • Cinnamon - 1 pinch;
  • Clove - 7 pieces;
  • Peas pepper - 7 pieces.

Pickled beets. Step by step recipe

  1. Wash the beets with running water, cook in a saucepan with water for 40 minutes over moderate heat. Cool the beets and peel.
  2. Cut beets into thin slices or cubes.
  3. Cook the marinade. Pour the right amount of water into the pan, add salt, sugar, cinnamon, cloves and pepper, boil and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Put the beets in a sterilized jar, pour the marinade. Sterilize for 12 minutes. Roll up the can.

Store the spin in a cool place, in a comoros or cellar. Use such beets in borscht, for appetizers or in salads. Especially for “I love to cook.”
