Once I saw a chicken meat recipe in a culinary magazine and he interested me. I wanted to try making a puff pastry dish. Its taste is simply delicious. Juicy chicken and fragrant mushrooms add piquancy, and cooking this dish will not take much of your time. Today, along with “Very tasty,” I want to share a recipe for making a super tasty chicken hen.


  • one chicken leg;
  • 500 grams - puff yeast-free dough;
  • 1/2 cup rice;
  • large onion;
  • butter - 60 grams;
  • champignons - 200 grams;
  • three eggs;
  • spices to taste;
  • a bunch of dill;
  • a glass of kefir;
  • a tablespoon of milk;
  • sugar - one tablespoon.

  1. Initially, we need to make pancakes. We take one chicken egg and beat it well with a whisk or it can be done with a fork. Then combine kefir with a beaten egg, add sugar and a pinch of salt. All this needs to be mixed well and you can start frying pancakes. We fry like ordinary pancakes. I got 5 pieces.
  2. Next, proceed to the preparation of the first filling. To do this, we need to finely chop one boiled chicken egg.
  3. Wash a bunch of dill and chop finely.
  4. Rinse well and boil in salted water. Rinse boiled rice with cold water and drop onto a sieve to allow glass to liquid.
  5. Melt the butter in a water bath.
  6. Combine the egg, rice, dill, butter and salt to taste. I also add black ground pepper, it seems to me that it tastes better. The first filling is ready.
  7. In the second filling, we will use mushrooms. Mushrooms go very well with puff pastry.
  8. Take the onion and peel, then cut into cubes. If the bulbs are medium in size, then you can take a couple.
  9. Mushrooms we will use champignons. They need to be cut into slices and fry with onions. I added spices here as well as to the first filling to taste.
  10. Now we’ll do some chicken work. For this we need chicken leg. It must be boiled in salted water. I also added a small bay leaf. Cool the boiled ham and cut the meat from it. Cut the meat into small pieces.
  11. To prepare the chicken hen we will use frozen dough. It must first be thawed and rolled out with a rolling pin with a thickness of 6 mm. Cut out a circle from the dough, this can be done using a plate or a lid.
  12. Then we take a baking tray and put the cut out circle of our dough, then the first filling with rice, then three pancakes, the second filling with mushrooms and cover with the pancakes that remained, and only now we put our juicy chicken. Roll out the dough and cover the pie thinly.
  13. To lubricate the pie, we need to mix milk and chicken yolk. Beat the whole mixture until smooth.
  14. In the middle of the henhouse we make a small hole and grease with a beaten egg.
  15. Sent for baking in the oven for 35 minutes at a temperature of 175 degrees.

I want to add from myself that this chicken coop can be cooked with potatoes. Then we do not add boiled rice to the first filling, but add boiled potatoes, grated on a coarse grater. The puff pastry dish with potatoes has a special taste and is very tasty.
