Redcurrant Pickled Cucumbers

Pickled cucumbers with red currants are so aromatic, whole and crunchy. It sometimes even seems to me that red currant (parechka) is specially created for pickling cucumbers. It perfectly complements the taste of cucumbers, even makes them more juicy. Try it, this recipe is worth it.

Ingredients:

  • Cucumbers - 600 grams;
  • garlic - 2-3 cloves;
  • onion - 1 medium onion;
  • red currant - 1.5 cups;
  • black pepper peas - 3 pieces;
  • cloves - 3 pieces.

Brine:

  • Water - 1 liter;
  • sugar - 1 tablespoon;
  • salt - 2.5 tablespoons.

Step-by-step recipe for pickled cucumbers with red currants for the winter

  1. Soak cucumbers in water for 4-5 hours. Then thoroughly wash and trim the ends.
  2. Wash the currants, remove the leaves. You can not remove the branches, it’s more beautiful and appetizing.
  3. At the bottom of the cans lay peeled garlic, peppercorns and cloves.
  4. Then lay the cucumbers in a jar, and fill the gaps with currants.
  5. Pour boiling water over cucumbers with currants in a jar and leave for 5-10 minutes.
  6. Pour the water from the jar into the pan, and from it prepare the brine by adding sugar and salt there. Boil it.
  7. Pour cucumbers with boiling brine, and put on a sterilization jar with a capacity of 1 liter - 15-20 minutes.
  8. Then immediately roll up the jar and wrap it upside down in a blanket. Let it stand until it cools completely.
