I want to offer to prepare a Napoleon snack cake. How many of us do not know the Napoleon sweet cake recipe? But our mistresses did not stop there and continued to use the idea of ​​puff pastries: but with salty fillings.   • garlic - 1 clove;
  • processed cheese - 200 grams;
  • ham - 150 grams;
  • 2-3 medium carrots;
  • 2 boiled eggs;
  • 2 onions;
  • pickled mushrooms - 200 grams:
  • hard cheese - 100 grams;
  • mayonnaise - 400 grams;
  • salt to taste;
  • vegetable oil for frying;
  • ground black pepper - to taste;
  • puff pastry - 800 grams (take ready or cook yourself);

For decor:

  • a bunch of fresh herbs (dill, parsley);

  • smoked sausage;

Snack cake "Napoleon". Step by step recipe

  1. To prepare our dish, you need to take puff pastry: you can buy it in a store or make it yourself.
  2. I prepare the dough according to this recipe: sift 2-2.5 cups flour through a sieve. Beat 1 egg, a pinch of salt and half a glass of water, add all this to the flour, knead, roll into a thin layer, smear with melted margarine (1 packet) and turn into a roll. I leave the dough in the refrigerator for about an hour. You can make the dough according to your own recipe or use the puff pastry recipes on our site “I like to cook”.
  3. Roll out the dough to cut through the diameter of 22-26 cm, bake five cakes and cool.
  4. Peel and grate boiled eggs with a coarse grater, add garlic (grind with a knife, grater or garlic squeezer) and mayonnaise, mix it all thoroughly.
  5. Spread our filling on the first cake (eggs, mayonnaise and garlic), distribute it evenly over the entire surface and cover with the second cake.
  6. Prepare the filling on the second layer. Cut the ham into a medium cube, chop the dill (smaller) and add the cream cheese, black pepper (put the pepper depending on how sharp the dish you want to get). All these products are mixed well and spread on the second cake, put the third on top.
  7. Cooking the filling for the third cake. It is necessary to cut mushrooms (I cut into small cubes), add mayonnaise and mix until smooth. All this is laid out on the third cake and covered with the fourth.
  8. We pass to the filling for the fourth cake. Finely chop the onion (also into cubes), three raw carrots on a grater, fry the vegetables in a pan until cooked, cool. To the onions with carrots add cream cheese, black pepper and mix well. Spread evenly on the cake and cover the top with the fifth.
  9. The cake must be covered with cling film, lightly crushed and sent to the refrigerator for three hours - this will help it to soak well.
  10. While the cake is soaked, you need to make a cream to grease the cake on top. Add mayonnaise to the cream cheese, mix, and with this cream we lubricate the top of the cake and sides. After that, put in the refrigerator for a day - all the cakes should be very well saturated.
  11. You can use hard cheese for decoration: you need to grate it on a coarse grater and decorate the sides of the cake with it.
