Stuffed cabbage in the oven

I suggest trying to cook a dish that has long been known to everyone - cabbage rolls in the oven, so they turn out to be much tastier than simple ones. The dish is suitable both on weekdays and perfectly complements the festive table.

Ingredients:

  • cabbage - 1 piece;
  • rice - 120 grams;
  • minced pork and beef - 600 grams;
  • onion - 3 pieces;
  • salt, pepper - to taste.

For the sauce:

  • onion - 2 pieces;
  • carrots - 1 piece;
  • tomato paste - 80 grams;
  • garlic - 4 prongs;
  • sour cream - 200 grams;
  • sunflower oil - for frying;
  • salt, spices - to taste;
  • greens - 15 grams.

Cabbage rolls in the oven. Step by step recipe

  1. Boil the water and send the cabbage into it with the sheets down, cook for 5 minutes, then turn over and cook for a couple of minutes.
  2. We get our cabbage and begin to separate the leaves from the head of cabbage.
  3. We cut a large vein on a sheet with a knife and cut the sheet into 2 parts.
  4. So do with all the leaves.
  5. Now let's make the filling. Rinse and cook rice in water, which must be salted in advance, until half cooked.
  6. Chop the onion and fry until transparent.
  7. Add rice and onion to the minced meat. Stir, add salt and spices to taste.
  8. Take a leaf of cabbage, put the minced meat on the edge and fold it tightly with an envelope. So continue with all the leaves of cabbage. Put cabbage rolls on a baking sheet.
  9. Now prepare the sauce for pouring.
  10. Fry chopped onions in sunflower oil, throw the grated carrots here, then the tomato paste, which must be diluted in hot water.
  11. We continue to stew vegetables. Throw garlic and spices here, do not forget to salt.
  12. Add sour cream and mix.
  13. Pour the sauce, cover with foil and bake in the oven for 40 minutes at a temperature of 190 degrees.
  14. Before being ready to remove the foil and brown our darlings for 7 minutes.

The dish is ready! Cabbage rolls in the oven “melt in the mouth”, they are juicy and do not lose their taste during cooking, but rather strengthen them. "I love to cook" wishes you bon appetit! And be sure to try homemade cabbage rolls and cabbage rolls with potatoes and mushroom sauce.
