Today I am preparing the most juicy and delicious onion sour cream pie. Even if you don't like onions, try this recipe for sure! Thanks to the peculiarities of cooking, onions change their taste - and the cake resembles the taste of meat pastries. Sour cream pie with onion, egg and cheese is quite simple to prepare, no special skills for working with the dough are required. And the filling is being prepared - easier than the lung! We prepare the pie with eggs and onions in the oven, but, if desired, you can use the multicooker with the “Baking” mode (a little more time will be needed for baking).

Ingredients:

  • wheat flour - 200 grams;
  • butter (margarine) - 120 grams;
  • salt - 0.25 teaspoon;
  • sour cream - 60 grams;
  • baking powder for dough - 0.5 teaspoon;
  • onion - 400 grams;
  • processed cheese - 200 grams;
  • salt, pepper - to taste;
  • vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon;
  • butter - 1 tablespoon;
  • egg - 3 pieces;
  • greenery.

The juiciest onion pie. Step by step recipe

  1. As usual, cooking begins with shortcrust pastry. Sieved flour together with baking powder for dough salt, mix.
  2. Next add oil or margarine, it should be from the refrigerator, not too soft. We cut into pieces previously and mix with flour, turning everything into crumbs.
  3. To combine the resulting crumbs, add sour cream. Quickly connect to a ball: knead for a long time should not be. As soon as the dough becomes homogeneous, stop interfering. Wrap or cover the dough, let it cool in the cold for about half an hour.
  4. For onion fillings, we cut onions: a lot of it. During processing, its volumes will slightly decrease. Decide how to cut yourself: there is no difference. The main thing is not very thick slices.
  5. In a heated frying pan, fry all prepared onions, fry in a mixture of vegetable and butter. Vegetable will not let the cream burn, and creamy, in turn, gives the taste. We achieve a transparent color.
  6. As the moisture evaporates, it is allowed to add quite a bit of water so that the onion is slightly languishing.
  7. Processed cheese should be cooled: it’s more convenient to grate it. We take a large grater. It is also allowed to replace cream cheese with hard cheese. In general, a shortbread cake with onions and cheese is quite tasty. Cheese, of course, plays an important, but not the main role here.
  8. We mix the grated cheese with fried onions and herbs, salt and pepper until taste. Quickly combine: while the onion is hot, the cheese will melt.
  9. In a slightly cooled mass, we drive in three chicken eggs and mix again. Our onion filling is ready.
  10. We roll the chilled dough into a layer: it is larger in size than the bottom of the form in which we will bake the cake - we will need sides.
  11. I do not lubricate the form, completely cover it with parchment. The size of the mold is 24 cm, it is detachable.
  12. We transfer the dough into a mold, rolling it onto a rolling pin (conveniently), level it, forming high sides.
  13. We pierce the bottom of the dough with a fork so that it does not swell when baking. Pour the onion filling.
  14. We pluck high sides slightly, covering the pie from the edge.
  15. The oven should already be preheated to 190-200 degrees. Bake onion pie for 30 minutes.
  16. Then grease the edges of the cake with yolk: it will look beautiful. Bake an additional 10-15 minutes.
  17. Cool the pie.
