An unusual recipe for beans - chili con carne with chocolate. Step by step recipe

  1. Soak beans in advance and boil until tender.
  2. Cut the meat into small cubes, fry in vegetable oil until the liquid evaporates and the beef is slightly browned.
  3. Chop the onion rings, chop the bell pepper in small pieces and send to the meat. We also add chopped garlic and chili peppers (take it to your liking, since Mexicans adore very spicy things that we might not even be able to try. I throw 2 pods and I'm already sharp enough). Fry for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add peeled tomatoes and diced tomatoes, juice of half a lemon (I add 1 tablespoon), pour the broth and after 2-3 minutes pour the beans, spices, salt, cover and simmer for 30-40 minutes.
  5. Break the chocolate into pieces, add to the chili and turn it off after 5 minutes, leave to brew for 20 minutes.

An unusual bean dish is ready! In chili con carne, the sharpness of chili peppers and the astringency of dark chocolate are very harmoniously interwoven. This is really a dish worth your attention. "I love to cook" wishes you bon appetit!
