For a variety of lean dishes, spice up vegetables or the original taste of meat, prepare a nut dressing. For a vegetable salad, the recipe of which I offer you, peanut sauce is just perfect. Walnuts are ideal for Georgian sauce: if possible, choose special oily varieties with a white kernel. Vegetable salad without mayonnaise, with nut dressing - it is not only incredibly tasty, but also very useful.

Ingredients:

  • 300 grams of tomatoes;
  • 250 grams of cucumbers;
  • 150 grams of sweet pepper;
  • 150 grams of salad;
  • red lettuce - 80 grams (one small head);
  • greens - optional.
  • For refueling:
  • 50 grams of walnuts;
  • 2 cloves of garlic;
  • 1 teaspoon of salt;
  • 2 tablespoons of white wine vinegar;
  • hops-suneli - 1 teaspoon.

Walnut dressing for vegetable salad. Step by step recipe

Let's make Georgian nut sauce: with it, any dish becomes a masterpiece.

  1. First, grind 2 cloves of garlic in a mortar.
  2. Then we send there walnuts, salt and hops-suneli, carefully rub.
  3. If there is no mortar, then garlic can be squeezed out through a press, and grind the nuts in a coffee grinder. Then mix everything well.
  4. Pour white wine vinegar into the vegetables, mix. We give time to insist.
  5. Walnut dressing is ready.

Cooking a salad of fresh vegetables.

  1. Cut fresh cucumbers (it is better to use salad, with small seeds) in thin circles.
  2. We cut tomatoes into 4 parts, and then into small pieces.
  3. Red bell pepper cut into small cubes.
  4. Lettuce onion shred thin half rings.
  5. Mix vegetables with nut dressing. If necessary, salt.
  6. Leave the salad for 10 minutes at room temperature to soak in the rich aroma of the sauce.
  7. If desired, add any chopped greens or leaves of green salad to the vegetable salad (tear into medium slices with your hands).
