Let's cook the watermelon salad - very original in appearance and cool in taste! You can prepare a salad at any time of the year: the products included in its composition are not scarce. This salad looks very chic on the festive table, attracting the attention of guests with its appearance - you immediately want to try it, and it disappears from the plates the very first, in record time. This dish with its brightness of decoration can cheer up and, of course, pleases with its taste: tender and fresh.

Ingredients:

  • 4 pieces of boiled eggs;
  • 3-4 pieces of tomato;
  • 1 jar of olives (pitted);
  • 2 pieces of cucumbers;
  • mayonnaise;
  • 200 grams of boiled chicken fillet;
  • 150-200 grams of hard cheese;
  • salt.

Salad "Watermelon". Step by step recipe

  1. Rinse the chicken fillet well, boil, cool and cut into small cubes (it is most convenient to cut across the fibers). Place the cut fillet in a salad bowl.
  2. Boil hard boiled eggs, peel and grate on a coarse grater. Leave in a separate bowl.
  3. We grate hard cheese on a fine grater. Also leave in a separate bowl.
  4. Cut olives in circles (take olives without stones - this simplifies cooking).
  5. To decorate the salad, you need to leave a little hard cheese and olives.
  6. The rest of the chopped ingredients need to be combined, salt and season with mayonnaise. Mix all this thoroughly until smooth.
  7. I wash fresh cucumbers and three on a coarse grater (I clean the middle with seeds from the cucumber, try to use only green peel: we take the cucumber to depict the watermelon crust).
  8. Wash fresh tomatoes and cut them into small cubes (I use a spoon to free the tomatoes from seeds and excess liquid. We take a tomato to simulate juicy watermelon pulp).
  9. We cut olives into four parts each - this will be used for decoration.
  10. On a flat plate we spread a homogeneous mass of chicken fillet, eggs, hard cheese, olives and mayonnaise in the form of a watermelon slice.
  11. We proceed to the decoration. On top of the resulting watermelon slice, we distribute the sliced ​​tomato and hard cheese. On a tomato we put quarters of olives. On the sides we spread the grated cucumber, pressing it tightly with your hand (so that the simulated crust was even greener, I can add greens). It is necessary to arrange the ingredients so that it looks like a watermelon slice with the pulp up: that is, a watermelon slice. In order for juice from tomatoes and cucumbers not to leak onto the cooked salad, it is better to get rid of the middle of these vegetables and remove the seeds.
  12. The finished salad must be refrigerated so that it is saturated - and then served.
