  1. So let's get started. First we need white bread, but you can use a loaf. Take the simplest bread, without any fillings and sprinkles.
  2. We cut it into thin layers. And you can also buy bread already cut in advance.
  3. Tip. It is better to take stale (white) bread, it is more dense, easy to cut and does not crumble. And in any case, croutons will be very soft and airy, from any bread.
  4. We take a deep plate, break one chicken egg into it, mix thoroughly with a whisk.
  5. After the egg is mixed, add a pinch of salt to the mass and continue to mix until the salt is completely dissolved.
  6. Tip. You can add finely chopped dill to the egg - it will give the croutons a beautiful color and aroma.
  7. We take the pan, put on the stove and put butter in it. By the way, it turns out to be no less delicious on refined sunflower oil, but you have to wait until it warms up well, and only then spread the bread.
  8. In the meantime, while our pan is warming up, we take the bread and dip it in the egg mixture on both sides. Spread on a well-heated pan.
  9. Fry our homemade croutons on both sides to a golden crust over medium heat.
